Assurance
by Art Anker
Father, open my heart.
Let in Thy light.
Chase away the shadows of human belief.
I long to be more sure of Thy precepts;
From mortal sense to find relief.
Forgive me, Father, should I,
A “doubting Thomas” be.
The worldly thought at times,
Would try to discourage me.
My hand held firmly to Yours
In humble obedience, I pray.
“Rooted and grounded in Love,”
I find the better way.
