God’s Care

(I Samuel 7:12)

“Hitherto hath the Lord helped us,”
and henceforth too He will.
He who ordains the way for us,
His purpose will fulfill.

And who will keep us from the good
He has in love prepared,
Or overrule the harmony
that should by men be shared?

Therefore will not we doubt the care
that guards our pathway still.
