The New Year
by Mary Beth Singleterry
The real New Year is the new man, the new you! never born and never dying – but ageless and free.
It is knowing there are no lost opportunities for “today is big with blessings.” (S&H)
It is putting off old habits for all that is fresh and new and lovely.
It is feeling that the so-called “good old days” are actually right here and right now.
It is understanding that time is a human concept, for God’s child lives in the eternal present.
It is gratefully counting our blessings and trusting God with our future.
It is knowing that joy can never be limited to a season, a time, or a place but is God-given and ours forever!
