Alone with God

by

Brethren,

I want to present to you this short story about Daniel, the prophet. I am inspired to write this short story about Daniel while studying Science and Health and the life of Daniel from the Bible.

Being alone with God allows you to know God in a real way, and to see what He can do. Oftentimes we confess that God can do everything, without actually believing it firmly. Our sense of expectancy is low. But, “the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11) Knowing God in a real way infuses strength into your being.

You will be strong to do exploits. This was the case with Daniel, the prophet. He was a man who knew the art of being alone with God. What great victories God wrought through him! God can do the same through any individual who will seek Him.

There was the situation concerning a dream king Nebuchadnezzar had, but forgot. None of the wise men of that land could interpret the dream. Daniel consulted with his brethren to seek the face of God on this issue, after telling the king that he would obtain the interpretation from God. “Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.” (Daniel 2)

Daniel had the mind of God because he loved his God, and took time to be alone with Him. As you are in the presence of God, meditating and musing on His greatness, your faith begins to build up.

Gradually you will find yourself filled with enough faith to trust God for anything. This can become increasingly real to you. You can be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Brethren, the time has come to understand that God rewarded Daniel, His servant who took time to be alone with Him, praying for grace, insight, and divine revelation.

Being alone with God, means to “put on the whole armour of God,” which will make you invulnerable. Take the sword of the Spirit, which will make you invincible; and go on in faith and great boldness to deal with your enemy.

Bind evil in the name of Jesus and it shall be bound. Decree, and it shall be established. If you stand up to be counted, giving yourself unto the Lord to be a prayer warrior, He will use you, and your life will bring untold blessings to many people, and great glory to God.
